Our Saint Paul, Minnesota office is growing and we have immediate openings for full-time entry-level and experienced Natural Gas Pipeline Construction Inspectors. Starting wage is $20 - $24 per hour depending on experience.

What You Will Do: You will be part of our Construction Services Utility Service Area Team working around natural gas pipelines and facilities. Duties would include, field observation including verifying and documenting federal and company compliance, working with detailed plans and procedures, tracking quantities and material and verifying the accuracy of mapping and as-builts on various natural gas pipeline projects. All aspects of the job are to be performed with an emphasis on safety. Documentation will include daily diaries on iPad, quantity calculations and backup documentation, letters, memos and spreadsheets. Typical work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week, 5-6 days per week. There are no limits to your growth and how you can progress with your career at WSB. What You Will Bring: Excellent technical, communication, organizational skills and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record are required. A pre-employment drug test as well as quarterly random drug testing is also required. You must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains associated with construction sites. Additional requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma. A two-year technical degree from an accredited school in a field related to civil engineering construction is a plus, and a degree from a four-year accredited college will only increase your opportunities and growth. Prior mainline, pipeline, distribution, utility construction, or survey experience also a plus. Candidates with knowledge of SCADA, CP, QA/QC or CFR49/192 or who are Certified Welding Inspectors, NACE Cathodic Protection Level 1 thru 4, or NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 thru 3 are encouraged to apply.
