Position Description:
Behind every built environment, there's an engineering solution at work. Urban is looking for a structural engineer to help find the right solutions for our commercial construction clients. We believe that a project's structure should enhance one's vision, not interfere with or obstruct it, and we are looking for a candidate that shares this vision. This multi-faceted role will work as part of a team to design and generate construction documents and administration services for a range of structures, including commercial construction, industrial facilities, and transportation facilities such as railroad stations and airport terminals. This role involves interfacing with both internal and external clients to ensure the quality of work produced. Our engineers have worked on projects across the country that change skylines and enhance how people move. 

Job Requirements:
Candidates for this role must have Bachelor of Science in civil/structural or architectural engineering. A Pennsylvania PE - or the ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license through reciprocity - is also required. The ideal candidate must have at least five years of experience in designing structural systems for commercial construction. Design experience with current IBC, ASCE, AISC & ACI with low and mid-rise structures is required. Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and FEA Frame Analysis software (ie. RAM, STAAD, but RISA is preferred) is also required. The right candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
