LENAX is looking for an Office Assistant.  The Office Assistant will Support the Integrated Project Management Office (IPMO) in various office duties.    The position requires you to think on your feet, work with minimal supervision and multitask effectively; use independent judgment and have the initiative to take on new tasks and challenges every day. You should possess at least 2 years of office administrative experience, with emphasis on Construction-related experience and have excellent skills using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and the internet.  Work is frequently complex, proprietary, and requires strong administrative skills as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

Example Job Duties:

The Office Assistant duties include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Operating standard office equipment.
  • Completing general office work assignments in support of all IPMO staff.
  • Couriering of Project documentation and office supplies between the IPMO and other offices used by Metro, the Project design team, various sub-consultant offices, vendor offices, etc. as required by the Administrative Analyst (Office Manager).
  • Assisting with the project vehicles including the scheduling of vehicle maintenance, services repairs, and required inspections, etc.
  • Assisting with copying, sorting, mailings, filing, stamping, mass printing and binding reprographic deliveries, etc.
  • Assisting with office reception, answering of telephones, and data entry.
  • Maintaining of all office supplies and monitoring usage to insure that all copier equipment is stocked with paper and that all storage areas are adequately stocked with office supplies, ink cartridges and other consumables.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree a plus.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of office administrative experience, with emphasis in construction.
  • Good communication skills, interpersonal abilities are required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and document creation software such as Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation and/or use public transit to get to work.
  • Valid Class "C" driver's license.
