Job Description:

The Energy Auditing positions will work closely with the Energy Engineering team, sales team, project management team, and clients and partners to design, manage and develop building energy improvements to reduce energy costs. The technologies include all facets of energy reduction, including lighting, HVAC, EMS controls, lighting controls, renewables, compressed air and other energy solutions.

A coonstruction, electrical, maintenance, property management, or similar building or building materials knowledge or an energy/construction related degree or industry experience is required.

Energy Auditor(s) - High level of experience

We perform energy audit and consulting work to optimize and reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste. We are looking for all levels of auditors or engineers (P.E. not necessarily required) with experience or education in one or more of the following areas:

Former experiences which might be suited for this position include;

  • Energy Auditors
  • Electricians
  • HVAC or Building technicians
  • Property Directors
  • Facility supervisors
  • Solar installers
  • General Contractors

Efficiency improvements or audits of utility infrastructure systems including HVAC, lighting, central chilled water & boiler plants, air compression, gas compression, refrigeration, water and waste water treatment, process heat recovery, recuperation, steam and water distribution systems, piping, pumping, motors and automated controls.


Additional LEED and or energy modeling experience is a plus.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Audit and inspect Clients facilities and look for energy savings to determine customers’ technical requirements, identify and evaluate energy efficiency cost savings opportunities;

  • Manage resources and time to complete audits and review as required.
  • Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, system operating characteristics and input as trained or track in excel.
  • Visit project sites with other AEC personell to learn, assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems.
  • Audit, investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures.
  • Conduct detailed auditing, take off, and retro fit analysis.
  • Assist with write-up of existing information, eventually assisting with writeing up plans to implement.
  • Assist in various facets of energy auditing, and reviewing/inputting data collected.
  • Taking initiative to understand and learn about existing and new energy saving technologies.
  • Understanding of utility rates and programs, and able to calculate basic energy usage.
  • Provide sales team with data and assistance as required
  • Discuss opportunities or audits with Customers as Management indicates.
  • Perform other duties as required to generate savings opportunities for client.

Required Skills or Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in related or similar work.
  • Work preference for a fast-paced customer-centered work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Energy Auditing experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills is required.
  • Knowledgeable in facilities, construction, or trades.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, responsible and professional.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, clean driving record.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office and project management software. (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Commitment to learning and participating in training and educational programs
