Page Mechanical Group, Inc., a successful and established mechanical contractor, is seeking a qualified Pipefitter Foreman with a background in commercial work, to add to its growing team. This position is a long term, full time employment opportunity for the right qualified candidate.
The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping, fixtures and equipment for gas, steam, chilled/hot water commercial systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Determine sequence of installations by reading plans and working drawings
- Supervise pipefitting crew in safe installation and assembly of all aspects of piping systems
- Perform field take-offs and jobsite material inventories
- Inspect work in progress and completed work to insure conformance to specifications and local codes
- Complete and maintain work site paperwork to include, but not limited to, time off request forms, accident reports, material requisitions, RFI’s, T & M tickets, daily logs, SDS sheets, log books, daily time card verification, weekly job site inspection forms
- Accountability for man hours and material costs
Qualification Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability to perform this job successfully.
- Skills of pre-task planning and scheduling of manpower and material
- 4 Years vocational preparation acquired in school, work, military, institutional, or vocational environment
- Minimum 5+ years experience supervising commercial pipefitting crews
- Skills of pre-task planning and scheduling of manpower and material
- Knowledge of federal, state and local codes
- Certification in crane rigging and signaling
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar
- Good verbal communication skills
- Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others
- Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership role
- Neat, professional appearance
- Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record; clean criminal background
