Job Summary 

The Yard Operations position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as controlling inventory. This position is also responsible for maintaining efficient and safe operations of the outside yard.

• Loads and unloads trucks. Checks in incoming stock off the shipping paperwork and ensures that paperwork gets to the office for timely receiving. Reports order discrepancies to management.
• Ensures that all orders are paid for before leaving the yard. Follows all policies and procedures.
• Works closely with all Cemstone Supply sales personnel to facilitate a timely and accurate customer order fulfillment process.
• Ensures that the yard is clean and safe. Makes sure that product is organized and identifiable.
• Monitors incoming and outgoing traffic in yard. Reports any issues to management.
• Follows all procedures to completely secure loads before deliveries leave the yard.
• Ensures that fork lifts and other equipment are in good working condition. Reports any repairs or maintenance needed to management.
• Solves customer issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Involve management when needed.
• Completes all other assigned tasks given by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One to two years related yard/warehouse work experience in the construction supply business
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.   Read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to understand packing lists, delivery tickets, and purchase orders.
• Must be certified to operate a forklift and skid loader. Certification can be completed once hired.
