Job Description

This team member will assist with the preparation, assembly and installation of plumbing piping systems according to plans and codes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, fabricate, and install plumbing piping systems according to code
  • Cut and carry pipe, fittings and installation equipment
  • Conduct pressure testing on new and existing systems
  • Size systems that are not calculated
  • Install valves and flow switches
  • Design and layout work
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Maintain tools and repair equipment as needed
  • Keep work areas neat, clean and free of debris
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Promote safety, teamwork and cooperation
  • Meet completion deadlines
  • Carry out assignments as directed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Lift at least 100 pounds
  • Ability to work on ladders and high places
  • Follow instructions
  • Work unsupervised
  • Current driver’s license and good driving record
  • Professional appearance at all times

Education / Knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of the trade
  • Good understanding of materials and tools used in the industry
  • Additional training and education as required
