Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Quality, IT & IS Manager, the selected candidate will participate actively to the maintenance, expansion or deployment of Information Systems projects. More specifically, the Information Systems Analyst will work closely with end users or their representatives as well as super users in delivering solutions that meet operational requirements and support the organisation’s business processes.

The mandates given to the analyst will pertain to a variety of systems in place at Distech Controls, amongst others: Entreprise Ressource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management  (CRM), Intranet (Sharepoint), HelpDesk, and more. In all cases, projects will be oriented towards business efficiency and corporate growth.  The Analyst must handle every aspect of his/her projects through each step from analysis, specifications, implementation, training and post-implementation support.

 

Description of responsibilities

  • Understand the company’s business processes and organizational needs vs corporate data management;
  • Analyze, create or modify reports with advanced SQL queries;
  • Analyze and evaluate user requests for software services and determine most efficient and economical processing methods;
  • Participate in feasibility analysis and define functional requirements in the implementation or expansion of Information Systems;
  • Lead Information Systems projects. Coordinate with external specialists and, when necessary, end users;
  • Coordinate and/or achieve functional tests;
  • Publish technical documentation and userguides for the project team and/or end users;
  • Train and provide on-going assistance to system users;
  • Act as Power User for certain systems in place;
  • Manage incidents, access rights and privileges for users and service providers.
  • Ensure systems maintenance, including SQL queries programming and detailed analysis;
  • Analyze data, develop and publish various management report and performance indicators, based on high management’s requirements;
  • Propose solutions to continuously improve productivity and quality of information.

 

Qualifications

Essential:

  • University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or any other relevant field.
  • 1 to 3 years related experience
  • Fluent in French and English – written and spoken
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge on SQL databases
  • Work Experience in a corporate environment

 

Important:

  • General knowledge on Information Systems such as ERP and/or CRM and/or BI;
  • General knowledge on C/C++/C# programming language.
