Position Description
Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends. The use of hand tools, tape measure and converting decimals to fractions are part of the daily tasks.
Responsibilities/Qualifications
- Must have press brake experience - (Bystronics experience preferred)
- Must be able to follow instructions and be self-motivated
- Requires excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry
- Requires ability to read a tape measure, calipers and other tools
- Requires ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances
- Must work well with others
- Be able to lift up to 40-50 lbs
- Ability to stand for 10 hours
- Ensure and verify material
- Provide immediate feedback when problems occur
