Role & Responsibilities:

A Senior Electrical Engineer serves as the lead electrical engineer on projects from concept through construction administration, often times delegating design tasks to junior engineers. Miscellaneous tasks include performing building assessments, troubleshooting electrical problems, preparing proposals, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs and working through issues with contractors in the field.

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ working for a consulting engineering firm is required.
  • A Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT is required.
  • Working knowledge of International Building Code, NFPA and National Electric Code is required.
  • Design experience including power distribution, lighting/lighting controls, fire alarm systems and other special systems for a variety of building types required. 
  • Medium voltage power distribution design experience preferred but not required.
