Summer Position Available:

Full-time for 10 - 12 weeks

$13.50/hour

Precipart has a summer internship position available as a Production Planning Intern. This internship will provide experience working within a manufacturing environment to assist in continuously improving our production planning process. The right student will validate/test programs to enhance production planning tools; propose ideas for improvement; learn overview of different machining processes, scheduling and work flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Review process at work centers to identify bottle necks and recommend improvements
  • Track, assist and locate production parts, monitor status of the parts in different work centers to execute the master production plan
  • Communicate with Production Planners, Buyers and Manufacturing Supervisors to ensure completion of task on time.
  • Interface with various departments within the company to ensure work flow.
  • Interface with programmers to review, test and enhance production planning tools/programs.
  • Assist Director, Production Planning in various tasks and generate reports.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have completed at least sophomore year requirements towards an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree with a 3.3 minimum GPA
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel & Access
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
