Job Summary

The Counter Sales Representative is responsible for the processing sales and quotes at Eagan Contractor Supply for various concrete, masonry and building materials, concrete and masonry tools and other various products.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor. Practice good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy and display a positive attitude towards customers and co-workers.
• Develop relationships with customers by accurately taking customer’s orders both in person and over the phone.
• Coordinate job delivery times with warehouse and delivery drivers.
• Ensure counter area and other areas are neat, clean and well stocked.
• Work closely with all CS personnel (Operations, Sales & Sourcing) to facilitate a timely and accurate order-fulfillment process

Qualifications

• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain record-keeping systems and procedures. Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One to two years related experience in the construction supply business.

Physical Demands

• May be required to lift #50 crates to a 100# bag of cement and 5 gallon pails of sealers, etc.
