JOB DESCRIPTION
Legal Assistant (In-House Corporate Practice)
General Description
Eurovia USA is looking to for a full time Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to the Company’s General Counsel. This position will be located in Winter Park , FL.
Key Duties:
- Assisting with handling the administrative functions of the department.
- Assisting with coordinating and scheduling travel arrangements, conference calls, and other meetings.
- Organize and maintain files related to various matters
- Communicating with inside and outside customers.
- Preparing, revising, and formatting agreements and other documents including proofreading, tracking changes between drafts, and identifying inconsistencies.
- May assist with reviewing contracts upon intake.
- May ensure contracts are in compliance with company standards.
- Under the direction of the General Counsel, compose and review language of contracts to meet company standards.
- Receiving and screening telephone calls and correspondence.
- Composing written correspondence.
- Assist with maintenance of the corporate records of the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Assisting with acquisition projects.
- Undertaking special projects and other administrative assignments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

- Education and Experience. High school diploma required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in legal studies a plus. Familiarity with standard legal concepts, practices, and procedures, knowledge of legal terminology. Previous experience with contract management preferred. Proficient PC skills including MS Office Suite to include Microsoft Excel and Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be able to understand and communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
- Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Legal Assistant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Periodic physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to periodically stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
- Ability to lift, on a frequent basis as required, at least 25 pounds personally and the ability to carry up to 15 pounds personally as required.
- Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Legal Assistant encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Work is performed predominately indoors.
- Work environment periodically exposes the employees to elevated levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
- Employee occasionally works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Some exposure to a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
