Responsibilities:

  • Performing business analyst duties for Transmission and Distribution Vegetation
    Management (TVM and DVM) Departments for the entire FirstEnergy footprint.
  • Creating and providing reports for TVM/DVM budget and variances, prepare compliance data for regulatory audits, vegetation management workflow, contractor cost and production statistics using software applications such as TVM GIS Application, VGMS, SAP, QlikView, TOAD, etc.
  • Perform tracking, monitoring and reporting on status of Forestry contractor timesheets and costs entry in VGMS.
  • Create and Prepare standardized monthly and annual reports.
  • Coordinate and report on Quarterly Operational Performance Metrics;
  • Prepare and respond to Transmission and Distribution Vegetation Management benchmarking surveys.
  • Conducting business specific research, analyzing data, trends and interpreting results, and making recommendations on matters related to assigned projects.
  • Participating in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to processing and analyzing TVM/DVM related data.
  • Performing Forestry work related support duties for TVM and DVM Program Management Managers, Supervisors, Specialists and clerical staff such as monitoring process training, providing statistical reports, preparing Contractor Scorecards, etc.
  • Assisting management and fellow coworkers, following well-defined practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Two to four year degree in a related discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of 7 years professional work experience. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of direct, related experience will be considered. The experience must be at a professional (exempt) level which also includes data reporting, analysis, costing and recommendations, along with an understanding of the subject matter.
  • Analyst experience preferred.
  • Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, Skype and Word.
  • Strong TOAD, Excel and Access skills required.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to continually look for ways to improve processes.
  • Must be a self-starter and require minimal supervisory oversight with good time management skills.
