Job Summary
This position involves the safe operation of dragline and support equipment.
- Safe operation of dragline and support equipment.
- Adhere to all MSHA rules and regulations.
- Operation and general maintenance of dragline.
- Maintain necessary tools for operation of dragline and support equipment.
- Meet production to support crushing /washing needs.
- Maintain consistent feed stock for processing.
- Maintain housekeeping standards of Dakota Aggregates
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Read, write and speak English.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
- Have working knowledge of dragline.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical functioning of various components on the equipment and make necessary repairs related to the equipment as they occur.
- Work alone in group situations
- Understand service and repair manuals relating to equipment and/or parts and be able to read and understand product data as it relates to retail items.
Physical Demands
- May require hours in excess of ten hours per day on a regular basis.
- Outdoors approximately 80 percent of the time, the balance of the time will be indoors. This, however, does not mean that occasionally you will be exposed to extreme conditions such as extreme cold, ice, snow conditions, heat, humidity, and other weather related conditions.
- Subject to serve exposure of carbon monoxide and other chemicals emitted from truck and loader exhaust, diesel fuel.
- Subjected to severe noise exposure. Noise from loader, truck engines and hydraulic pumps fall into this group.
