POSITION SUMMARY
The Transloader Operator is responsible for operating transloading equipment in connection with receiving, storing, transferring, and loading of petroleum products via tank truck and tank car. This full-time position is based in Duluth, MN and typical work schedule includes Monday through Friday, 6am to 4pm, along with weekend and on-call hours.
Responsibilities also include:
- Performing all daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance and compliance inspections; and maintaining required logs as appropriate in a neat and professional manner.
- Performing and directing loading functions of required transloader and petroleum products in transload facility and mode units as required.
- Operating diesel-powered transloader with hydraulic power take-off (PTO) and associated metering and pumping equipment.
- Performing facility equipment maintenance, exercising skills on pumps, meters, Bill of Lading printer, and short-truck.
- Operating metering system to load trucks and generate Bills of Ladings for petroleum shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Be physically fit for the job
- Have mechanical, operational, and organizational skills
- Must be able to work outdoors during all seasons
- Prior knowledge of the transloader operation and maintenance procedures and policies preferred
