Summary
Howard S. Wright (HSW) a Balfour Beatty Company in Seattle, Washington is seeking a Service Carpenter Foreman. This role performs multifaceted hands-on construction activities as well as supervise/coordinate direct labor and subcontractors in a fast paced, rapidly changing project environment. More information about the position includes:
- 90% night work (6pm – 2:30 am typical)
- Self-perform and supervise projects ranging from one night to several weeks duration.
- Work area mostly in downtown Seattle, but includes most of greater Puget Sound.
- Commercial TI work in active offices/spaces.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Maintain safe working environment according WISHA/company standards and requirements
- Minimum of 10 years journeyman carpenter experience
- Union Carpenter
- Experience and Ability to self-manage and run crews & subcontractors
- Experience following and managing project schedules
- Versed in commercial doors and hardware including electrified systems
- Capable of reading and understanding blue-prints and manufacturer specifications
- Strong time management skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Good attendance/Reliable
- Good driving record
- Must be able to pass background check
- Professional appearance & people/customer oriented personality
- Schedule project needs i.e. permit inspections, ordering equipment/materials
- Ability to creatively solve unforeseen dilemmas and problems on the jobsite as they occur
- Basic knowledge of Washington State Building Code (IBC)
