Civil Transportation Engineer

New opportunity for a Civil Transportation of Engineer to join our growing Sioux Falls office. Stockwell Engineers is a full-service engineering, landscape architecture and land surveying firm. From the offset, we have focused on providing quality services to private businesses, private developers, state agencies and local governments.

What you will do!

• Develop a transportation division.
• Perform transportation modeling utilizing Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.
• Prepare traffic impact/access management studies.
• Design traffic signals and coordinated systems.
• Design traffic management plans.
• Assist in planning, design and construction administration of transportation plans.
• Develop and enhance new and existing client relationships.
• Project supervision to ensure progress and on-time, high-quality deliverables.

What qualifications you need!

• Experience needed 10-20 years (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of South Dakota or eligible for licensure.
• PTOE certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of start date.
• Demonstrated track record of successful past employment.
• Strong working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.).
• Familiar with the development of Traffic Impact Studies.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment within a small office.
• Strong technical, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software platform.

What preferred qualifications we desire!

• Master’s Degree in transportation engineering.

A salary of $90K-110K+ based on education, training, and experience; plus receive an incentive bonus of $25K to join our team!
