Job Summary

The Sales Professional (Western Minnesota counties) is responsible for developing long term relationships with prospective and existing customers within assigned territory while promoting all aspects of Ellingson Companies. The following is a broad overview of the duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Make personal sales calls at customers sites on a daily basis.
  • Seeks out sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Promote all product offerings of Ellingson Companies.
  • Participate in all company training and events.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.
  • Strive to meet quarterly and yearly sales goals set by region management team.
  • Provide water management solutions that are specific to customer’s needs.
  • Use CRM database to track and monitor sales pipeline.
  • Stay current on existing and emerging technologies within the company and within the agricultural industry.
  • Work with and involve Business Development Manager on sales negotiations.
  • Participate in weekly sales meeting, providing updates from previous week.
  • Attends trade shows, conventions, and seminars using marketing skills to captivate customer attention and promote the company.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the CRM database.
  • Provide customers with clear communication concerning project details and timeline.
  • Assist in review project final billing.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with waterboards, counties and other business entities within the industry.
  • Complete expense report in a timely manner monthly.
  • Conducts follow up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional image.
  • Work closely with production and survey teams.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or Bachelor’s Degree in related fields preferred but not required (Agriculture, Business, Construction Management etc.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
