Position Description

This newly created position is primarily focused on providing technical capacity for the GIS practice with strong integration between civil engineering and GIS staff.  Responsibilities include GIS data development including digital data conversion, database manipulation, geographic analysis, technical assistance and quality control reviews.  The Infrastructure Analyst will be expected to stay current on emerging data driven technology and help implement GIS solutions for a variety of internal and external clients. The Infrastructure Analyst will work in a deadline-driven environment handling multiple projects simultaneously and must demonstrate initiative and excel at learning new skills and technologies through self-study as well as collaboration with team members. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • EI certification preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of ArcGIS software including Desktop, Server and Mobile Solutions, AutoCAD Civil 3D 
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and record drawings.
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while meeting budgets and deadlines.
  • Travel as necessary to meet the needs of the position.  Valid Driver's license required. 
  • Working Knowledge of field data collection equipment, procedures and deliverables such as mapping and survey-grade GPS, conventional surveying and remote sensing technologies a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Asset Management principles also a plus.
