Job Summary

We are seeking a learning resource center clerk with experience in successfully managing large computer learning centers. The successful candidate will create and manage student application accounts and provide assistance in the use of LRC and electronic classroom equipment. The LRC Clerk will assist students in the use and access of the Learning Management System (LMS).

Essential Functions:

  • Manage student accounts
  • Provide assistance in the use of LRC and electronic classroom equipment and ECRs
  • Assist in the use of and accessing the LMS
  • Daily checks of LRC equipment and report status of LRC equipment
  • Perform general cleaning of LRC equipment
  • Restocking of classrooms with applicable training support materials to include dry erase markers, dry erase board wipes and erasers.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Site Manager

Client Management and Subject Matter Expertise

  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Build a knowledge base of clients' mission, organization, and objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction, identify needs, expectations, and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that fosters client ties.
  • Communicate risks, expectations, timelines, and other learning resource center challenges and concerns

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work on a computer for long periods to time.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop and kneel.  The employee must be able to lift and carry up to ten pounds as needed.  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time personnel shall work a minimum of 40 hours per week, excluding Federal holidays. However, operating hours and days may vary based on mission requirements.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience managing projects in a matrixed organization.
  • Learning resource center management in a DoD environment, Navy a plus
  • Expert proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused.
  • IAT II certification a plus
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) an asset

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.  Background checks- criminal, civil, employment, and education required. Drug screening in compliance with drug-free workplace standards. Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance when required for projects.
