Job Summary

We are seeking a Naval Weapons School SME with experience in the MH-60R. Additionally, the SME will be responsible for customer satisfaction and maintaining a relationship with the customer that exceeds their expectations for teamwork and quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Review all Courseware, training materials etc. for commonalities, efficiencies, deficiencies, and submit recommended Change Requests (CR)
  • Recommend and draft CRs
  • Review submitted CRs to ensure the nature of the CR is valid and technically accurate prior to COR assignment
  • Recommend additions, deletions or changes to CRs
  • Cross validate CRs for effect on other curriculum, training materials, and training system as a whole
  • Verify the accuracy of CR work performed by Contractor personnel to include other SMEs
  • Ensure CR resolution prior to submission to the customer
  • Verify all CRs that have been completed by Contractor graphic artists, programmers, instructional designers, and any additional technical
    personnel to include other SMEs
  • Ensure CR resolution prior to submission for customer acceptance
  • Attend meetings (i.e., scheduling, standardization, phase head, safety systems working groups, intelligence updates, aircraft systems, weapons tactics briefings, and conferences)
  • Conduct quarterly curriculum test item analysis to measure the accuracy of test items
  • Assess training, syllabus, and mission scenarios, to ensure courseware and training documents reflect current tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Provide analysis of existing testing instruments and recommend changes to improve training baseline and measure the proficiency of training objectives.
  • Provide Advance Readiness Program (ARP) support at assigned Weapons School or designated ARP detachment.

  • Client Managemen and Subject Matter Expertise
    Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Build a knowledge base of clients' mission, organization, and objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction, identify needs, expectations, and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Effectively document customer-driven changes to the project plan and diplomatically negotiate to protect company financial position.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client-contractor ties.

Program Communication

  • Create status reports and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders
    for assigned airframes.
  • Prepare regular reports for the site manager. This report includes tasks accomplished, problems/solutions, lessons learned, and tasks to be accomplished during the next reporting period.
  • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones, and other key project metrics to clients and team members.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work on a computer for long periods to time.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop and kneel.  The employee must be able to lift and carry up to ten pounds as needed.  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time personnel shall work a minimum of 40 hours per week, excluding Federal holidays. However, operating hours and days may vary based on mission requirements.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Previous MH-60R Weapons InstructorSWTP Level III for ACTC Level III
    • (substitute 1 year of experience on courseware revision and maintenance of the MH-60R within the last 6 months, or 1-year experience working as a CIS simulator instructor on the MH-60R within the last 6 months)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Expert proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused.
  • MH-60S and/or MQ-8BC experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) an asset

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.  Background checks- criminal, civil, employment, and education required. Drug screening in compliance with drug-free workplace standards. Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance when required for projects.
