Lavelle Industries is a woman-owned manufacturing company that supplies many industries around the globe with custom materials and processing solutions for molded rubber and plastic parts. As a result of our outstanding performance in the market, we have identified opportunities for growth on our Corporate Human Resources team - that's where you come in!

The HR Intern will have an opportunity to work within a cross-functional team and gain experience in many HR functions, such as: recruiting, advertisement, retention, project implementation, community outreach initiatives and much more! This position will report to the Senior Human Resources Specialist at our Burlington, WI location. The ideal candidate will be available for 12-20 hours per week during the semester - flexible hours are available within the office hours (listed below).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sourcing of candidates and relationship building within the local communities
  • Attend recruiting events, conduct employment interviews and make hiring decisions for the production workforce
  • Onboard new hires and personify the "warm welcome" of the company culture
  • Manage online presence of position openings via job posting sites and internal ATS
  • Maintain HR Metrics, such as recruiting, retention, turnover and ROI
  • Support retention efforts, provide solutions and execute HR team initiatives and other projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree focusing on Human Resources or a similar field of study
  • Ability to travel to local community events
  • Ability to work 12-20 hours throughout the week, between the hours of 8 to 5. (flexible in how many hours per day)
