Job Summary

Work Hours: 3rd Shift Tuesday- Saturday 12:00 am (midnight) to 8:00 am

Perform all aspects of the A/R Coating process. This process applies Anti-Reflective coating to ophthalmic lenses. Primary responsibilities include lens inspection, reprocessing of cosmetic defects and proper machine bath maintenance and chemical additions. Employee is responsible for the quality of the work performed and is expected to know the quality and safety requirements for every operation that they perform.

Duties:

• Cleans machine and makes ready for operation
• Inspect, rack and make lenses ready for coating
• Performs quality testing on finished product
• Load racks into dip coating machine
• Prepare all solutions for the coating process & assure daily supplies are stocked
• Sandblast A/R Coater parts
• Perform maintenance on production equipment
• Sort incoming work by date, material and process
• This position is the third shift lead. Perform other duties as needed, including training of new employees, assisting the supervisor with managing and leading the team, and acting as supervisor in the absence of the third shift supervisor

 Experience/Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or Equivalent and at least two (3) years of work experience commensurate with position requirements
• Must be highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
