ADF International is looking for Structural Welding Foreman to help lead our state-of-the-art fabrication shop in Great Falls, Montana. The Structural Welding Foreman will lead a team of welders, fitters, and crane operators on our production floor to meet our production demands in a timely and safe manner. The Structural Welding Foreman will establish & support a successful fabrication team through defined expectations, effective communication and a positive work environment.

NOTE: We work a Monday through Thursday Schedule, 10 hour shifts.

Night Shift: 4:30pm - 3:00am

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all night shift fabrication employees and their assigned duties
  • Coordination and monitoring of all work activities, fabrication progress and resources to meet production schedules
  • Ensure all work is done within ADF-established quality standards, safety protocol, and job specifications
  • Establish open lines of communication across organizational departments to ensure knowledge of all ongoing project expectations
  • Coordinate with HR Department regarding employee appraisals, discipline, and annual performance reviews
  • Completion of all work-related reports and documentation

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in AWS D1.1 welding, metallurgy and steel fabrication
  • 3 years in a management or supervisory position in the structural steel industry, or 6 years of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting structural blueprints
  • Knowledge of codes of standards for AISC, AWS, and CWB
  • Ability to weld in both FCAW and MCAW processes
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency

 

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to perform the following activities for varying lengths of time: stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, kneel and stoop on a constant basis; must be able to climb ladders or stairs to work from elevated locations periodically. Often lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds; use hands, arms and upper body on a frequent basis.  Ability to perform work in variable climate conditions such as but not limited to, hot, cold, dusty, noisy etc.  May also be required to wear appropriate respiratory protection should the need arise.
