Job Summary:
Work in accounting department processing vendor invoices for payment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices while paying particular attention to departmental, job and task coding.
- Reconciliation of AP detail to vendor statements and the General Ledger.
- Assist others in monthly closings and job cost reporting.
- Perform electronic filing and document storage.
- Attach PO’s and verify match to invoices.
- Research and resolve vendor discrepancies.
- Provide audit support.
- Filing and mail handling.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- 2-year Accounting degree or 1+ years related experience in Accounts Payable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Construction and job costing experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail is mandatory.
- Great attitude.
- Availability to work occasional paid overtime
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
