Delaware Elevator offers a Federally Approved Apprenticeship program; which consists of a web-based curriculum coupled with on-the-job training for those interested in becoming an Elevator Technician. 

Location

  • Jacksonville FL; and surrounding areas; travel as needed

Essential Functions

  • Assemble, install, or replace existing elevators and equipment for modernizing older equipment.
  • Ability to study blueprints to determine equipment needed to install rails, machinery, car enclosures, motors, pumps, cylinders, and plunger foundations.

Qualifications

  • Good physical conditions (fit for duty) - able to lift, climb, bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop coupled with fine manipulation.
  • Mechanical aptitude – able to travel as needed
  • Must be available, fit for duty.
  • 5 years experience with (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction)
