Job Summary:
The Document Control Technician will perform clerical, and administrative duties related to management of the Special Inspection Practice.
Document Control Technician Responsibilities:
• Manage database of inspection records and current contract drawings, submittals and other project records
• Serve as liaison between Special Inspection (field) staff, Designers and Project Managers
• Maintain conformed / record sets of projects and field related contract drawings
• Handle document retrieval requests, labels and assist in document reproduction, scanning and electronic file maintenance of records
• Assist in document reproduction, scanning and electronic file maintenance of records
• Ensure that documents are maintained properly in their relevant files and necessary copies are distributed (electronically and manually as deemed necessary)
• Logging, filing and archiving documents/mail
• Provide reports and logs for Project Managers, and Special Inspectors as required.
Job Requirements:
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar position along with project coordination experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is a plus
• Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
• Strong computer and internet research skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional work ethic
