POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Person is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of all Bituminous Roadways Facilities and Sites.  This position requires the safe use of equipment, small tools and be self-motivated.  Take directions and reports to the Material Facilities & Sitework Manager. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report daily to Manager the planning, progression and completions of tasks.
• Maintain yard debris and site organization.
• Sweeping all yard sites / dust control
• General maintenance of lab and office buildings
• Plants: material clean up /  plant wash downs  / touch up painting / “sign” upkeep
• Maintain erosion control / silt fences / BMP’s / containments
• Assist Plant maintenance & repairs as needed.
• Operate fork lifts, skid loader (bucket/forks/broom) high lifts, street sweeper
• Back up parts runner for shop as needed.
• Lawn mowing at plant and office sites. (possible addition to job)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
• Driver’s license must be currently active and have a clean driving record
