Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Plymouth Industries is currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team. As the Human Resources Coordinator you will be responsible for payroll, administering employee benefit plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Administers Payroll for all business locations
  • Coordinates On-Boarding program; conducts new hire orientation presentation
  • Processes termination papers and conducts exit interviews for hourly and clerical positions
  • Maintains employee files, employee database, HRIS Administration
  • The Human Resource Coordinator is in charge of time and Attendance Administration
  • Coordinates employee communication; manages bulletin boards
  • Manages Service Award Program
  • Submits articles for Hines Headlines
  • Leads Employee Activity committee and coordinates activities
  • Schedules and coordinates birthday lunches
  • Administers FMLA and STD
  • Maintains Labor Law posters at all sites
  • Assists in Employment Law compliance activities.
  • Handles recruiting of hourly and clerical positions and temporary staff
  • The Human Resource Coordinator administers background/drug screening for new hires
  • Reviews & Codes Monthly invoices
  • Assists with benefit questions
  • Assists with open enrollment
  • Quarterly 401K Audit
  • Handles report writing and generation from HRIS and Time & Attendance
  • Member of safety committee
  • Takes meeting notes, types and publishes
  • Updates monthly data charts
  • Coordinates tornado and fire drills
  • Maintains OSHA logs and OIR
  • The Human Resource Coordinator schedules testing and training
  • Handles phone station changes & maintains phone list

Human Resources Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of related experience
  • Payroll experience is a must
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and verbal is essential for the human resource coordinator
