Job Description (Location Indianapolis, IN or Washington, DC)

Strategic Analysis, Inc. seeks a highly motivated, versatile Systems Analyst to join our exceptional team supporting the Border Patrol & Air and Marine (BPAM) Program Management Office (PMO).  The Systems Analyst will assist in leading initiatives to execute system enhancements, conduct formal requirements gathering, review Functional Requirements Design Documents, develop internal processes associated to new enhancements, and develop system training plans. The Systems Analyst enters new data into various systems as needed, creates recurring and ad- hoc systems reports, and performs quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) on various existing data, working with Project Managers and Analysts to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create various recurring and ad-hoc reports from TRIRIGA, FITT or WMS data as required
  • Assist other Analysts with data searches and reporting as needed
  • Periodically enter data into various systems including opportunity records, equipment records, task records, etc.
  • Provide Systems Management:
    • Assist and coordinate training
    • Assist in the creation of and manage user accounts for FITT/WMS
    • Complete system use logs
    • Trouble shoot/helpdesk for system issues
    • Create user guides/helpful tools for users
  • Participate in Systems Initiatives:
    • Assist in system requirements development
    • Conduct functional Requirements Document Reviews and make recommendations to the Systems Lead and PMA Branch Chief
    • Coordinate with the TRIRIGA team on system initiative status and requirements
    • Track and manage TRIRIGA/WMS/FITT Change Requests through completion
    • Conduct/coordinate data loads into systems
    • Work with BPAM management to align system changes to PMO policy/procedures
  • Maintain a library of systems-related policies and procedures
    • Quality Control Instructional Guides
    • User guides
    • Reference materials

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Six (6) years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust (active Public Trust preferred)
  • Strong critical thinking, as well as qualitative and quantitative analytic skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to perform administrative functions within various government systems, including FITT, WMS and TRIRIGA
  • Ability to effectively problem solve
  • Ability to proactively seek information and communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access or other databases
  • Knowledge of each system: FITT, WMS, TRIRIGA, SharePoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of internal processes involved in data entry in various systems
  • Knowledge of business processes that underlie system capabilities
