Position Details

Family Resources is looking for a innovative, passionate, and driven Shift Leader. This position works closely with the Program Coordinator in managing day to day program operations including, but not limited to, second shift supervisory support, provide operational leadership, coaching and training new staff, program development, assure daily documentation is accurate and timely, and providing direct care coverage.  

  • Position Hours vary between 2:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Starting pay varies depending on education and experience
  • Full-time 40 hour position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision to Youth Counselors to insure appropriate program philosophy and individual treatment plan implementation.
• Ensure all funding agreement documentation is complete, accurate, and timely as it pertains to behavior management, skill development, milieu management and milieu crisis.
• Track overall program documentation for timeliness and edit for quality including fire/disaster drills, incident reports, shift book data, daily logs, visitations, ledgers, satisfaction surveys and BHIS implementation.
• Be knowledgeable of population served and help team to implement individualized treatment plans.
• Supervision of essential program documentation.
• Provide leadership support in crisis situations during 2nd shift to program assigned and other programs.
• Provide direct supervision/coverage and assist in setting up shift schedules and routines.
• Provide sound judgment and demonstrate the ability to make effective decisions and implement procedure based on decisions made
• Takes initiative to anticipate needs and seeks solutions to getting them met
• Energetic and enthusiastic. Consistently withstands pressure and takes all known facts and perceptions into consideration when presenting ideas that will benefit the program
• Exhibits organizational skills that allow for effective role modeling to the team, in completing paperwork, providing structure for the youth as well as following through with all job expectations in a timely manner.
• Provide ongoing coaching and disciplinary actions with Program Coordinator and staff as necessary
• Ensure internal policies/practices are followed.
• Professional conduct that represents Enterprise, with integrity, which allows for the assistance in helping Program Coordinator to respectfully hold team members accountable, train others, and role models appropriate behaviors and interactions with the youth served.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of BHIS and Medicaid requirements and standards.
• Deliver BHIS Services in a manner compliant with applicable State, Federal, Accreditation, and Enterprise standards and assure weekly per diem is met
• Provide services in a Trauma Informed Care client-centered, strengths-based, professional manner.
• Coordinate monitoring and data collection related to child behaviors/functioning associated with Mental Health goals and objectives.
• Ensure documentation of services is completed in a timely manner – within the shift
• Assist in ensuring documentation of services in a manner compliant with applicable State, Federal, Accreditation, and Enterprise standards.

Qualifications 

Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED.

A Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field and experience preferred. To be eligible to provide BHIS Services you must have a BA degree in a related field or a BA from a non-related field and completion of the 30 hours of BHIS training OR AA degree in social science filed + 1 year experience in child mental health services OR High School Diploma/GED+ a minimum of 5 years child mental health services.
