FST Technical is seeking to hire an accomplished Inside Sales Manager to support Operations and Outside Sales management.  The selected candidate will have more than 10 years of experience in a similar role in the Construction and Engineering industry.  Special consideration will be given to those with key relationships within the following market segments:

The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) works within the Business Development Organization to provide leadership in concert with Outside Sales and Operations in the development of Account Plans, Proposals, Presentations and related documentation.  This individual brings the corporate resume and experience to the pursuit through a comprehensive network of contacts in the company and a detailed knowledge of our history.   The ISM typically manages a number of submittals in parallel and ensures that the document or the presentation meets corporate expectations for quality and completeness in a timely fashion.

In addition to providing Marketing/Sales leadership and support on selected international opportunities, the position assumes the following responsibilities:

  • Drive disciplined implementation of a Sales process across the Group, paying particular attention to discipline in the use of proven best practices in “Middle Game” and “End Game”.
  • Keep abreast of the developments and priorities in the Group by attending Sales/Ops meetings and keep the team informed as appropriate. 
  • Work with the team to develop and maintain qualification materials. This includes project descriptions, experience matrices, safety and quality statistics, resource counts, organization charts etc. Specifically encourage the capturing and development of proofs and client testimonials. Set expectations and targets as appropriate and ensure access and sharing of this information across the Group. Where appropriate adhere to agreed standards and corporate identity.
  • Support participation in public relations campaigns, including development of press releases following the award of significant pursuits. 
  • Support development of direct mail content and monitor and expand visibility in trade publications, presence on key industry lists and directories.

 

Other Duties:

  • Actively participate in development of messaging strategies for discreet proposals, presentations and account plans
  • Prepare plans for the development of proposals and presentations
  • Develop a network of contacts throughout the firm to channel corporate capabilities
  • Coordinate with Operations in the development of execution plans, schedules, organization charts, resumes, executive summaries.
  • Coordinate with Outside Sales in the identification of Gaps, development of win plans and key messaging.
  • Develop and update profiles of active projects
  • Develop and update standard project descriptions for resumes
  • Develop written content for brochures
  • Develop presentation content
  • Actively participate in public relations campaigns, including development of press releases and direct mail content
  • Monitor and expand visibility in trade publications, presence on key industry lists and directories
  • Coordinate with technical staff on development of papers/articles for publication in technical journals
  • Interview/communicate with technical staff to discern key project facets for use in marketing materials
  • Maintain a style guide for written materials
  • Update written web content
  • Develop copy for advertising
  • Develop press releases
