Position Objective
To build a logistics and trade compliance operation while driving for reduced total cost of ownership, support the company objective of providing lowest cost transportation service and by coordinating corporate wide transportation and logistics needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supports the transportation of materials, tooling and equipment within the Quadion supply chain in a manner that is both timely and cost effective. Maintains relationships with outside freight forwarders as well as the transportation support personnel within the supply base.
- Import/Export control and compliance across the Global Facilities and suppliers including management of accurate HTS, COO and ECCN numbers, Duty Drawback, Denied Party Screening and work with Partner Government Agencies.
- Strong knowledge of US-Mexico and US-China trade laws.
- Provides ongoing training, review and process development as it relates to transportation and Regulatory Compliance for all Quadion locations.
- Provides support for China facility's on-going raw material requirements by coordinating shipments of mixed compounds, materials and supplies to China from North American facilities as needed.
- Analyzes, identifies and implements cost savings and sourcing opportunities in support of the company's indirect purchases cost reduction goals.
- Evaluates 3PL with Vendor Performance Metrics Report, based upon surveys, ratings and other data, and administers SCAR’s.
- Supports China industrial supply purchasing needs.
- Frequent contact with team members at all Quadion locations, including Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, Accounting, Sales and R&D and Quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Business degree, or equivalent experience with emphasis in Logistics and/or Supply Chain a plus.
- Experience: 5 years in logistics, import, and export in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong analytical & organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a team environment contributing to team goals and objectives.

- Ability to travel to global facilities on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of CAD drawings
- Understanding of BPCS/AS400 IBM ERP system
- Understanding of Lotus Notes and Database Systems
