Job Summary
The Vice President of Strategic Accounts is responsible for maintaining and building strong, fluid relationships at senior executive levels within all assigned and prospective strategic accounts.
- Create, manage and strengthen senior level relationships with all Walman Optical strategic accounts and strategic account prospects.
- Negotiate and close industry leading ophthalmic service programs and contracts with strategic account opportunities.
- Build strategic customer relationships that have growth potential through the development of a one to three-year plan to guide team selling and customer collaboration efforts.
- Develop stronger and wider relationships within key accounts, increasing account retention and long term stability and growth.
- Exhibit complete knowledge and expertise of all optical product lines within the portfolio.
- Conduct in depth business reviews and plans with all assigned accounts, identify all opportunities for growth while effectively utilizing all existing and potential lines of business and service.
- Evaluate Walman’s competitive position, address the business and personal motives of each decision maker in the client organization, and differentiate Walman by leveraging our unique strengths.
Experience/Qualifications
- 4 year college degree or work experience commensurate with position requirements.
- A minimum of eight (8) years in sales of a complex nature and sales supervisory experience.
- Proven relationships with strategic optical industry accounts, including a majority of top 50 retailers, retail and other aggregated channels, and private equity groups.
- Proven ability to pursue, negotiate and close business opportunities with large accounts.
- Proven ability to apply creativity and flexibility in assembling complex business solutions to meet unique prospect needs.
- Possess an understanding of strategic sourcing requirements in large scale retail environments.
- Possess Ophthalmic practice management expertise, experience, or consulting experience.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal management and communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record that complies with the Walman Optical Co. Motor Vehicle policy.
