Summary

At Balfour Beatty Infrastructure in Houston, TX we are seeking Concrete Foreman on the Northeast Water Purification Plant Expansion (NEWPP) project. This design-build project will add 320 million gallons per day (MGD) by 2024 to the existing water plant’s capacity.

The Foreman will actively participate in field work on project, supervise field employees and be responsible for the completion of the project in a safe and timely manner, utilizing the highest quality of workmanship. 

Essential Functions

• Responsible for quality of work performed, productivity of crew, safety of workers and care/protection of company equipment.
• Supervise a crew of six (6) to twelve (12) workers. Plans and directs work of crew.
• Reports to and receives direction from superintendent.
• Requires ability to read and understand construction plans.
• Trains, instructs and assist individual workers in the safe performance of their duties.
• Conducts tool box safety meetings for crew. Sees that crew has necessary tools, materials and equipment to perform their work.
• Keeps and reports time for each worker. Code times cards by work activity for cost records.
• Reports quantity of work or materials constructed each day.
• Communicates with and works in close coordination with Owner's inspectors.
• Coordinates with and assists survey crew in timely layout of work.
• Performs other related duties assigned by Superintendent. 

 Minimum Requirements

• Experience in one or more of the following classifications: form building or concrete placing and finishing.
• Experience with placing and vibrating concrete.
• Requires climbing ladders for walls, columns and suspended slabs and into excavations and trenches.
• Experience in the layout, assembly, installation and alignment of walls, column and shoring forms and decks of elevated slabs.
• Experience with various gang form systems and shoring systems.
• Must be able to read construction drawings/plans.
• Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Preferred Requirements

• Local candidates to the Houston, TX area.
• Foreman with a known and productive following crew highly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Foreman on water/waste-water construction projects and/or related projects.
• 5+ years’ experience in form building or concrete placing and finishing.
