We are seeking an experienced Mobile Solutions Lead to work in our Richmond, Virginia office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Build best-in-class geospatial applications on tablets and mobile phones
- Provide leadership and assume overall accountability for a successful implementation phase on all mobile projects and solutions
- Consult with clients and project teams on mobile development, platforms, and technology decisions
- Facilitate mobile technology team meetings
- Establish best practices, norms, and standards for mobile solution development
- Responsible for various aspects of ongoing mobile support and maintenance engagements
- Work with Project Managers across all projects to consult with clients on mobile considerations
- Assist with technical business development and RFP responses
- Design, develop, and deploy iOS and/or Android-based solutions
- Estimate level of effort to develop code to meet acceptance criteria
- Deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
- Work with other mobile team members to utilize and establish best practices for mobile development
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
- Provide support of software solutions as needed
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS a successful candidate should have include but are not limited to the following:
- Creative, detail-oriented, motivated, open minded, and organized
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience developing software applications, 5+ years building native mobile applications
- Able to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently
- Able to delegate tasks and provide direction as needed
- Able to provide guidance and mentorship to a wide variety of technical staff
- Experience developing and designing mobile applications for multiple devices
- Experience designing and developing mobile applications using native and web technologies
- Strong experience with Java/Kotlin (Android) and/or Objective C/Swift (iOS)
- Passionate about creating user experiences and software
- Willing to ask questions and share opinions
- Creative, problem solver
- Familiar with agile methodology
