Oracle Application Database Administrator

Duration: 2 Years (Contract Position, Benefits Not Provided)

Hourly Rate: $57 W2; $65 CTC/1099

This request is for an advanced Oracle Application Database Administrator (DBA). Best-qualified candidates will have strong Oracle application, OEM and Erwin experience using Oracle 12.x to 18.x environments.

This position provides advanced level technical expertise and support within the Technical Services Section for DWD's Oracle database environment. Responsibilities include database security administration, research, implementation, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting of database architectures and data management software for various platforms; work with application development staff on logical database design; designing and implementing physical databases including multi-agency OLTP and data warehouse; collaborating on the design and installation of maintenance and upgrades to database software; monitoring performance and making tuning recommendations; estimating database growth for capacity planning; and, problem determination and resolution.

Qualified candidates must have prior experience as an Oracle Application DBA. Preference given to qualified candidates familiar with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures and development standards.
