The Etch Lead directs the daily activities of an etch/strip team including ensuring best practices are being followed. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring work according to production schedules or demands and auditing employees’ work throughout the shift.  The Etch Lead is responsible for monitoring chemistry conditions and making machine chemistry changes when required. The Etch Lead is also responsible for monitoring employee performance, writing and administering performance evaluations. The Etch lead occasionally runs wet chemistry rotary/conveyor etching equipment to achieve customer specifications, using corrosive chemistry to create customer products from raw materials.  Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure process capability.

• Monitor safe care and operation of jobs and equipment.
• Monitor operator documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor and/or responsible engineer when required.
• Ensure tasks are completed as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
• Gather information to assist following shift and communicate demands among peers and at production meetings.

Must have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to receive and follow instructions.
• Ability to read and write with legible penmanship.
• Mechanical inclination.
