Job Description

Strategic Analysis, Inc. seeks a Senior Analyst who will provide National Defense Strategy (NDS) Knowledge Management support to the Director of Administration and Organizational Policy. This is a highly visible role within the Department of Defense.

In this role, the Senior Analyst:

  • Solicits, collects, and compiles key, sensitive and classified performance data and information from all major DoD Components involving functions related to the entire spectrum of the Department’s operations, maintenance, resourcing, and human resource management activities.
  • Coordinates with all DoD Components to ensure data and information is submitted on time and meets analytical rigor standards.
  • Maintains and refines a knowledge management architecture that reflects knowledge management best practices and serves a community of more than 400 senior-level performance managers.
  • Drafts and edits detailed data reporting requirements, and tracks National Defense Strategy (NDS) Implementation Report-related tasks assigned to DoD Components; coordinates with external stakeholders to ensure timely and responsive completion of tasks.
  • Drafts and edits narrative records of Deputy’s Management Action Group (DMAG) discussions and decisions involving the NDS Implementation Report.
  • Supports the development, coordination, adjudication, and processing of all DoD documentation
  • Advises government personnel in correctly preparing documentation in accordance with all relevant standards.
  • Advises government personnel of upcoming suspense, changes in suspense, or other relevant matters affecting timeliness of completion of actions.
  • 12 years of experience directly-related experience
  • 10 or more years of experience supporting OSD and 5 or more years supporting organizational and management policy and senior governance within OSD or senior levels of Military Departments is highly preferred.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Master’s Degree in Business Communications, or similar field relating to Data Analysis and Knowledge Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
