Summary

Balfour Beatty’s Texas Division is seeking a Marketing Project Lead to join our team. This position will be responsible for leading and supporting a variety of projects, including proposals, presentations, social media content, brochure development, events, and other marketing efforts. They will also be responsible for complying with company policies, corporate messaging, and Balfour Beatty brand standards in support of our business acquisition and communications efforts. Essential Functions

  • Lead the preparation of responses to requests for qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other required information.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to write, edit, and produce best-in-class proposal submittals that demonstrate creativity and a clean eye for design.
  • Write proposal copy for review and editing by others, with minimal edits/changes necessary.
  • Assist with presentation strategy and use that information to design best-in-class presentations with InDesign, PowerPoint, and other leading software programs.
  • Participate in internal and external communications efforts, including social media updates, award nominations, press releases, newsletter articles, and website updates.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members to improve, refine, update, and share project and resume information, as well as proposals, presentations, boilerplate, graphics, debriefs, etc.
  • Research, gather data, and manage internal CRM/DAM databases to maintain current project information, client references, and other critical data needed for pursuits.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors including photographers, design consultants, printers, and suppliers to support in-house resources.
  • Provide graphic and other creative support to other division departments and jobsites, as needed.
  • Coordinate photo shoots (people and projects).
  • Participate in departmental and marketing team initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of experience preferred.
  • Proficiency using Adobe InDesign, as well as experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Social media experience, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Experience maintaining database information
  • Strong writing, communication, and page/presentation layout skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at once.
  • Commitment to quality and teamwork to meet/exceed internal and external customers’ needs.

Preferred Experience

  • BA or BS in Marketing/Communications, plus a minimum of three years of industry experience.
  • Very strong graphic design skills.
  • Video production/editing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and in the face of incomplete information.
  • Ability to organize people, tools, equipment, and other resources to successfully manage multiple activities at once.
  • Ability to create, manage, and revise schedules and related assignments based on priorities while considering work/life balance for self and others.
  • Commitment to acting with integrity to show support for the company, its values, and fellow employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
