Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor email system and correct any errors in Epicor, WMS, middleware and ordering system that come up, paying special attention to time periods when a truck is shipping/invoicing
  • Monitor Helpdesk requests to ensure service desk tickets are entered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide technical support to our dealers, via phone and email, for our Scanner and Point of Sale systems
  • Execute the daily operations task list
  • Assist office staff in printing and re-printing customer order related documents
  • Provides weekly inventory of office paper and printer supplies critical to printing order related documents for the shipping of trucks
  • Train new Operations staff per their respective job duties
  • Manage our stock of warehouse RF guns and voice units, batteries and associated supplies, and repairs RF equipment when possible
  • Assist with Market Scanner duties, including Market Scanner setup, and Market Scanner Booth support
  • Manage our stock of customer MC1000 and MC3000 scanning guns, batteries and associated supplies
  • Ship MC3000 Scanner kits, modems and supplies to customers, and assist customers with the instillation and testing of the equipment
  • Set up and test new or converting customer POS systems with needed catalog / download files and FTP communication
  • Primary EDI contact for setting up new vendors and troubleshooting daily EDI communication
  • Maintain and/or establish documentation of the various systems and duties Operations is responsible to perform and update Operations staff as changes are published
  • Acquire an overall understanding of how the WMS scanning and voice devices are used to operate the warehouse
  • Provides support to desktop or laptop users on all company supported operating system and software applications. While the majority will be Microsoft office products, support is not limited to these products
  • Responsible for installation of workstations and printers
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of Epicor processes to allow for monitoring and responding to situations as the need arises
  • Refers major hardware problems to management for resolution
  • Maintain good attendance record by being present for work each day as scheduled
  • Serves as backup to the following functions:
    • Operate various printers
    • Print license plates
    • File bill of ladings and truck manifests
    • Release customer invoices to printers as they become available
    • Sort through and separate the paperwork after it is printed and put in the correct customer envelopes
    • Keep warehouse printer stocked with shipping labels and ribbon. Restock paper, tickets, and other material in the computer room & office
    • Make sure areas have extra labels
    • Keep printers maintained and cleaned if necessary
    • Backup WMS/IT Support Specialist for order verifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High school education or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of computer hardware
  • Hands on technical and troubleshooting abilities
