Nevada Copper (TSX:NCU) owns Pumpkin Hollow - the only large-scale, fully-permitted copper project in North America. Located in Nevada, USA, Pumpkin Hollow has substantial reserves and resources including copper, gold and silver. Initial production is planned by end of 2019. With global mine supply declining and demand increasing, this is the right project at the right time.
Place of Employment
The incumbent shall be based in either Reno, Nevada or Vancouver, BC with frequent travel to the project in Nevada and other locations as may be necessary.
Purpose of Position
The Director, Concentrates Marketing & Logistics is responsible for directing the transportation and sale of copper concentrates production in collaboration with Nevada Copper’s Offtake partners, including invoicing and tracking of concentrate lots in accordance with; the executed offtake contracts, the terms of the KfW senior loan facility and including accounting for advances made under the APA credit facility with Concord.
Accountability
The Director, Concentrates Marketing reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure timely delivery of concentrates to customers in accordance with the relevant offtake contracts
- Maintain cordial relationships with offtakers
- Develop systems to track inventories and shipments of concentrates including the weights, moisture content, and provisional and final assays of the shipments; and final assays settlements in cases of disputes
- Arrange for offshore shipping where necessary
- Interface as necessary with terminal operators at Wabuska, railways and port
- Arrange for provisional and final invoicing for shipments
- Track draws, repayments and interest charges under the APA with Concord
- Interface with mine production personnel as necessary to update mine concentrate production forecasts.

Knowledge/Education
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience
- Accounting designation is strongly desired
- Understanding of revenue and inventory accounting as they relate to copper concentrate sales
- Minimum Ten (10) years total professional experience in a copper industry environment preferred, specifically in copper concentrate sales environment
- Excellent modelling skills in Excel, Word, and/or database manipulation & offtake tracking software

Physical and Mental Demands and Requirements
The Director, Concentrates Marketing & Logistics will work primarily in an office environment with periodic work at the Project or other field environment. The incumbent must be able to:
- Legally travel and work in the USA (with appropriate work visas)
- Legally operate a passenger type vehicle
- Periodically work in environmental extremes (i.e. hot or cold weather)
- Ability to work in an industrial environment at times
Work Schedule and Personal Protective Equipment
The incumbent works a 40 hour/week schedule, primarily from Monday through Friday. Personal Protective Equipment required for any field work requiring this PPE, in the instance incumbent must travel to the project site. PPE of this position may include, but is not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. All equipment must be MSHA approved as applicable.
