Position Summary

Manage all Shipping, Receiving, Trucking, Railcar and Incoming and Outgoing Freight at the St. Joseph facility.  Provide support to production, customer service and management as required.  The Logistics Manager will report to the Production Manager with a dotted line reporting structure to the North American Supply Chain Manager.

Job Description

    • Overall responsibility - Develops strategies to minimize shipping costs while maintaining end customer satisfaction.
    • Quantifies current internal warehouse capabilities and recommends changes to maximize balance of inventory and labor costs vs. additional product storage capacity.
    • As Logistics Manager, represents the department to the company headquarters and outside vendors.
    • Works closely with third party logistics company to maximize value for Albaugh. Reviews third party logistics company performance and recommends changes, if necessary.
    • Works closely with all production departments to coordinate shipments and minimize shipping costs.
    • Develop and maintain a robust CTPAT program.
    • Manage site security. Review third party security contractor performance annually and make recommendations to retain or replace.
    • Develop and maintain Responsible Care Security Code
    • Supervise Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and
    • Manage propane on-site inventory, deliveries, and contract negotiations

Qualifications

    • Computer knowledge/experience with Excel spreadsheet.  Working knowledge of inventory/logistics software programs.
    • Knowledgeable in International transportation
    • 5 years Operations, Warehouse, or Logistics experience

Education Required:  College Degree or 10-year equivalent work experience, Customs Brokerage License preferred
