Job Summary

  • Design, route and lay out electric distribution and service facilities including transformers in accordance with RUS specifications, the NESC and Lebanon Utilities Policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare work orders, staking sheets, service orders and review Mcare orders utilizing the Lebanon Utilities GIS,CIS and Scada Systems.
  • Assist in securing a right-of-way by preparing and obtaining easements, permits and /or permissions.
  • Assist with and or perform the proper maintenance of electrical substation equipment, control circuits and SCADA systems.
  • Read and understand plans, maps, profiles and cross sections provided by state, county, and Engineers to help coordinate Lebanon Utility crews and contractors.
  • Prepare estimates for new services, relocations, up-grades and temporary services.
  • Assist with contract specifications for outsource construction projects
  • Assist with computer studies to determine system load forecasts and capacity requirements
  • Assist in the development of the work plan, budget and prepare orders for the completion of work plan projects.
  • Maintain all safety, health and environmental records and reports related to the electric utility
  • Attend coordination and construction (TAC) meetings with local private, city and state officials

 

 

Qualifications

  • Two- (2) year technical degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary in order to deal with a wide range of personalities both inside and outside the organization.
  • Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft word, excel, email, auto CAD and word processing.
  • A valid Indiana driver’s license required.
