Position: Program Manager - Financial Opportunity Center (FOC)
Location: Yale Street - Houston, TX
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The Program Manager is responsible for program operations under the direction of the Houston Program Director. The Program Manager of the Financial Opportunity Center will set goals for the center and support the goals of the organization. The Program Manager of the Financial Opportunity Center must show strong supervisory and leadership skills and must work as a team member. Delegates managerial authority when appropriate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Assumes primary responsibility for the direction of the Financial Opportunity Center.
- Responsible for reporting/forecasting outcomes and data as required by grants/contracts
- Analyzes data reporting for program operational efficiency
- Monitors and ensures implementation of the programming aspects for contractual requirements.
- Develops community referrals and collaborations to strengthen service offerings.
- Facilitates weekly workforce staff huddles
- Negotiates and creates contracts for Job Skills provision.
- Attends all meetings with LISC and THRIVE
- Attends and participates in LISC and THRIVE training as scheduled or directed.
- Implements all Volunteers of America Texas, Inc. Policies and Procedures, Personnel Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and management directives.
- Attends VOA staff meetings.
Financial Management
- Ensures management of the program’s resources within budget.
- Reviews and approves expenditures within budgetary guidelines.
Staff Management
- Ensures that all departmental human resources responsibilities are met: hiring, firing, staff training, career development, equal employment opportunity, health and safety issues, evaluations and performance management for all staff within the FOC Center.
- Supports and motivates staff within the FOC center.
- Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, teamwork, and a common organizational vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or related field plus two years of transferable experience.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Valid Texas drivers’ license, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.
