Summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Scheduling Assistant in San Mateo, California. Our team is currently undertaking the $700MM Caltrain Electrification Project. The primary role of the Scheduling Assistant is to provide control and scheduling support to assist the Scheduling Manager with the planning and daily execution of the project.

Essential Functions

Shared time between office and field management operations may include:

  • Development of master schedule and updates.
  • Development of 1-week and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Measure and track progress to activities.
  • Gather project schedule information from field engineers.
  • Attend and participate in project status meetings.
  • Assist in preparing monthly schedule narrative.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-6 years relative scheduling experience and/or equivalent combination of training/experience
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques
  • Primavera P6 software experience 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • Willing to relocate to Balfour Beatty San Mateo California, if not local.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience.
  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with others.
