Summary

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training courses to support company-wide initiatives and projects. The Instructional Designer will create online learning modules and instructor-led training (ILT), including supporting materials, using published / established instructional design practices. This person is responsible for staying current with trends and digital delivery methods to keep materials and systems relevant and effective.

Design and develop blended training programs within the organization. Outputs include:

  • Presentations
  • Participant Guides and Facilitator Guides

Deliver projects on-time and within budget:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to research, collect, and develop content for training solutions
  • Create engaging learning content for existing and new programs
  • Create training materials, job aids, etc. to support implementation of new/updated Corporate systems and processes
  • Develop competency-based learning activities (e.g. performance management, coaching and feedback, customer service, etc.)
  • Maintain and update training library
  • Audit existing training modules and materials to verify quality, accuracy, and relevance of content

Measure and assess the effectiveness of training through metrics analysis:

  • Work with Project Manager to incorporate measurement plans into training programs to evaluate the effectiveness of the learning programs and facilitate analysis

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years related work experience in Instructional Design or training development
  • Written and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio
  • Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive collaborative relationships with subject matter experts and other project participants
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, including editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work as a small team supporting all locations
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, technology and methods
