The scope of Hubbard's work includes complex highway projects, site development, paving, utility and drainage systems, surveying, RAP and hot mix sales, and state-of-the-art bridge building. We provide multiple delivery systems in design-build, bid-build, public/private-partnerships and design-build finance.

Key Duties

Responsible for management of all equipment operations within Region to include:
• Developing & manage, and leading our Safety 1st culture using Safety Action Plan that is aligned with Eurovia, Group & Company Safety Goals.
• Manage equipment business model established within Kheops for all Region’s equipment operations.
• Ensure all local laws, regulations, Eurovia rules and Hubbard Group policies are in compliance.
• Develop Regional accounts and Regional vendor programs to leverage our position for reduced pricing on equipment, parts and services.
• Provide cost reduction through sound procurement policy, efficient repair management techniques, and effective utilization of assets.
• Work closely with Region & Company Presidents, Hubbard Group Staff and Division Managers in order to facilitate the mutual benefit of maintaining Region equipment.
• Ensure Region equipment management provides well-maintained safe equipment as required to all jobs.
• Manage all repair and maintenance expenses in excess of $5,000.
• Ensure Group Equipment Manager, Company President & Division Manager approve all repairs over $5,000.
• Assist in planning and scheduling for major repairs as needed to ensure effective life cycle cost analysis is not excessive.
• Conduct quarterly meetings with all Regional Executive Managers to facilitate effective equipment operations within Region.
• Develop Regional policy for all vehicle and equipment related operations as needed, ensuring they are within established Eurovia & Group policies.
• Performs in depth reviews of equipment business processes, budgets and other financial records.
• Development of equipment rates, fuel rates, workshop labor rates and other equipment related items for Region.
• Vehicle and work area are clean and well maintained.
• Mentor all Equipment Managers in Region to build a goal-oriented teams.
• Manage training, human resources and career progression programs for all equipment employees under their supervision.
• Ensure career development and encourage upward progression for all equipment employees within Region.

Responsible for management of all equipment controlling functions within Region to include:
• Ensure all assets are entered into Kheops accurately and all assets in Region are properly accounted for at all times.
• Annually validate inventory accuracy of all property, plants, and equipment for each company within Region.
• Annually develop and manage equipment budget for equipment assigned to Region Offices.
• Develop & assist Company Equipment Managers in creating operating budgets for all equipment, plants and other assets.
• Manage overall allocation of assets between all companies in Region in order to reduce amount of capital expenditure needed.
• Manage Region asset transfers, deletions, and other asset management as required for 100% accountability.
• Ensures source document accuracy and complete information such as proper authorization levels, asset and cost center accuracy on all related documents.
• Ensures no assets are disposed of without prior approval by Group President and in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

Responsible for management of capital acquisitions for all companies within Region to include:
• Annually develop and manage capital budget and five (5) year plan for all assets and plants based on input from all Company Equipment Managers, Division Managers & Company Presidents within Region.
• Manage priority of equipment for capital expenditures.
• Report to Group Equipment Manager, Region President for all equipment purchases, Capex substitutions and equipment sales.
• Provides monthly Capex updates to Group Equipment Manager & Region President.
• Participate with management group for future acquisitions and new techniques.

Responsible for equipment sales for all companies within Region to include:
• Manages the marketing and sale of all surplus equipment.
• Ensure all sales are coordinated, approved by Region President and are within Group policies and in accordance with GAAP
• Ensures no assets are disposed of without prior approval by Region President and in accordance with GAAP.

Qualification Requirements
• General. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily.

• Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as an Equipment Manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience is required
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the following is required:
• Asphalt Paving Equipment maintenance, repair and upkeep
• Management of a workshop facility or region of workshops
• Strong familiarity in Microsoft Office products.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Equipment Manager to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
• Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of hand power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
• Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that an Equipment Manager encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
• Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
