Pegasus Link Constructors is a fully integrated joint venture made up of Fluor and Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. with over 17 years of experience working together.  We are looking for talented individuals to join our team on the I-635 LBJ East project.  The project is a $1.7 billion design-build construction project that will improve the capacity and operational efficiency of the portion of I-635 north and east of Dallas, from east of U.S. Highway 75 to I-30.

PLC is currently seeking candidates to fulfill a Survey CAD Technician (Infrastructure) role.

Scope

This intermediate-level position is a hands-on office role that applies established procedures and techniques in the Infrastructure Survey discipline.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review plans from civil engineers and/or architects and prepares CADD files & drawings for construction staking using points, alignments and profiles.
  • Create 3D Corridors & Surfaces from Design plans and field As-builts for automated machine control use
  • Keep CADD calculations library up to date
  • Ensure all Field design files are up to the date with any RFI or NDC released.
  • Schedule and coordinate with all disciplines (MOT, Roadway, Bridges, Drainage, Walls, Signals, etc.) on Survey request needed
  • Collaborate with Foremen and Superintendents to ensure that survey request and schedule is met in accurate and timely manner.
  • Read and decipher field notes and apply to design plans.
  • Calculate any quantities the project may need

Qualifications

  • High School diploma with at least three (3) years of Survey office experience
  • Proficient using Trimble Business Center
  • Microstation and Terramodel knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of Trimble total stations and data collectors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, subcontractors and visitors
  • Basic knowledge of construction survey concepts
  • Ability to read plans related to land survey, architecture, and civil engineering
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
